First, Open Network and Sharing Center from Control Panel. Then choose "Set up a new connection or network".
In the next window, choose "Connect to a workplace".
In the next window, choose "Use my Internet Connection (VPN)".
That will bring up the following screen in which you can type in the address of the VPN server and what you want to name the connection. On this screen, type the URL address of a VPNConnected VPN server. In the Destination name: field, type in what you want to call the network. A good name for this is VPNConnected L2TP. Then click Next.
Next, type in your VPNConnected VPN username and password. Check the "Remember this password" box. Click Connect. If you see the message "You are connected" it means that you have successfully setup the VPNConnected L2TP connection.
You should see this screen next. Click the "Close" button to return to the "Network and Internet" screen.
In the Connect to a network screen, you should see the VPNConnected L2TP connection that you have just set up.
Right-click on the VPNConnected L2TP connection document, and choose Properties from the menu.
In the VPNConnected L2TP Properties, click on the Type of VPN pop-up menu (highlighted in red) and select L2TP/IPsec. Next, click on the "Advanced Settings" button (highlighted in red).
Click the radio button labelled "Use pre-shared key for authentication". Then type "vpnconnected" into the text-box labelled Key. Then click the OK button.
The connection is now ready to use. In order to connect/disconnect to VPNConnected L2TP right click on the connection icon and select connect. To disconnect from VPNConnected L2TP, right-click the icon for the connection, and then click Disconnect.
